***This is a two (2) year limited term appointment.
Continuation of employment will be contingent upon availability of funding.
The individual in this position will provide a safe educational atmosphere for Auburn University's College of Education's EAGLES program.
Reporting to the Director of EAGLES, the employee in this position will develop, implement, and evaluate student-focused instruction and services for a post-secondary program for students with intellectual disabilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing and implementing innovative instructional coursework with accompanying content and evaluating materials, as well as marketing materials; effectively applying training with students enrolled in the program; ensuring effective communication with EAGLES' parents, departments, committees, and individuals throughout the University; gathering data and reporting results on program outcomes with accuracy and high quality; provide ongoing supervision of students, staff, and interns.
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Master's degree and teaching certificate from an accredited institution in Special Education.
Applicant must have a minimum of 2-years teaching young adults with intellectual disabilities and experience in the design, implementation, delivery and management of educational programs/services.
Employer will consider advance degrees in lieu of experience.
